I appreciate the efforts at helping me sleuth through this. I had seen was so rare...lol!
If you read my description:
-- seen somewhere along the route I gave above
-- it is possible it was not in Utah, could be Colorado stretch
-- not a figment of my imagination or a misunderstanding of what I've seen
-- we have a 32' rental rv and so are on rv safe roads
-- we are coming down off a mountain, thus the switchbacks
-- we are on a paved road
-- arid landscape vista before us
-- we are having to wind around geological (naturally forming) pools of water
-- pools appear to be aqua in color
I am so sorry I am giving you guys such a run for your money with this. All the suggestions are really helpful. I know I am going to find it. I am just trying to find images on google of something similar to what we saw.
