We spent quite a bit of time in the Port Hardy, Ucluelet and Tofino
Ucluelet....aquarium, wild Pacific trail
Tofino... whale watching
Clayocuot....oyster festival
Port Hardy.... ferry for Queen Charlotte Islands, First Nations shops and galleries. (We had gold wedding rings made by a local artist), Hardy Boys, we chose at 4pm fresh crabs and halibut and had it fast frozen and shipped home. Over 200lbs were in our friends freezer by 10am the next morning in Ontario. You should try what they call Indian Candy. Eat outside great seafood overlooking the ocean . You can't not love Port Hardy.
