Washington State itinery

Camper van pulling a very small trailer.
Coming to Oregon from Redwoods NP to Crater Lake, then back to coast near Bandon, then up 101.
In Washington, this is my planned route--Up 101 to Olympia NP, to North Cascades NP, to Mt Ranier NP and Mt ST Helens, to Columbia River Gorge, to, possibly Devil's Gorge, to Glacier NP.
Is this an efficient route for these stops?
Is it better to take ferry from Port Townsend to get to North Cascades or is it better to drive through Tacoma and Seattle?
Time is not an issue. Will be going Through tis part of trip in late July to end of August if warranted.

  • Lot of miles. How about I5/US97 north. Jog up to Crater Lake, back to 97 north seeing the sites till you get to US2. West back to I5, over toward Anacortes, south thru the islands, ferry from Seattle (expensive) to the pennisular where you can pick up US101 south. Which BTW is the best direction to view the scenery.
