The weather is hard to predict that time of year. It can be fairly warm but it could also snow. If it does snow or get cold it will warm up quickly and melt. If you plan to take the tram to the top of the mountain bring a heavy coat. I live in Albuquerque and have not camped in any of the local campgrounds but the KOA in the east part of the city seems nice (that's where I buy my propane) but I have also heard good things about campgrounds on the west side (near Camping World) and at a casino on the south side. 2oldman's post lists them in the clicky.
