- Very windy this early morning. Got up and nearly all my tumbleweeds are gone! Can even see my fences.
- traviscExplorerBelieve it or not there is someone that does check the radio activity of some of those weeds. My sister lives in west Richland they have a radio for notification about any issues at Hanford. A bit like tornado alley....
- Yes, terrible fire hazard. One catches fire and blows for acres and acres in just a few minutes.
- old_guyExploreryou guys have no idea how much of a problem tumbleweeds are. my Dad called them russian thistles. they dry out and the first wind that comes along sends them flying across the fields. I have seen them bury a house after a wind storm. they are a terrible fire hazard. they burn fast and hot. they are a pain in the you know what.

- rrupertExplorerOur niece lives in Richland and was here in PA when that happened. She missed the whole event. We to dinner with her on Monday and we were talking about the tumbleweeds not knowing what was going on there.
