Thanks everyone, and yes a boneheaded question without more details!
Anyway, we plan on traveling from Buffalo, NY to the following; Yellowstone, Glacier, Portland, to Astoria then following the Coast south, then East toward Salt Lake City, then through major National Parks in AZ, NM, ending up in Florida for the winter...
That's a big trip for first starting the end of September.
You'd probably want to take I-90 across to Bozeman, Montana and south into West Yellowstone for your stay.
Yellowstone National ParkAll of the national parks have wonderful web sites like this. It's worthwhile to read them thoroughly for road information and things to do. Some things will be closed in October so check dates.
Then I-90 to Missoula and north on 93 to Glacier. Then I-90 to Hwy 12 at Yakima, Washington to either Hwy 97 to Maryhill, WA to I-84 west to Portland or from Yakima, continue on Hwy 12 west to I-5 and south to Portland. If you really don't want to do Portland from I-5 you could take Hwy 4 at Longview, WA to 401 south to Astoria and south on 101 along the coast.
Depending if you want to be around San Francisco you could take I-80 east to Salt Lake City and south on I-15 for the Utah parks.
This is a lot of interstate driving but there are many secondary roads you could take if you research the elevations and keep a watch on the weather for Oct/Nov.
You might want to purchase the "Mountain Directory for Truckers and RVers" which is very helpful for a heads up on what to expect. Buying it from the publisher is cheaper than Amazon for some reason.
When you get specific details of your route, come back and ask more. All of the above roads are no issues for RVers.
