We traveled some in Peru, Argentina, Chile and a little in Brazil and Uruguay including a two week cruise from BA to Valparaiso. Saw several RVs and a a few RV parks. Saw a lot of ads for RVs for sale or rent. Took a bus from Puerto Iguazu to BA. For the most part the highways were good. The Lakes District of Chile (Puerto Montt)was beautiful and made for RVing.
However, the drivers in Lima are absolutely mad. Taxi rides were like you had gotten into a NASCAR race, but with both left and right hand turns. BA was just a massive traffic jam.
