We just built a beautiful bridge across the river in the center of the city. It's fantastic...... except that it DOESN'T carry cars. Yep, if you're walking, riding a bike or on a city bus it's great. It's just not for those that paid for it.
As for the rest of the metro Portland area? Hard to say. We have some great things going for us. Nike world headquarters, Intel world headquarters, Adidas, UnderArmor and many other great new companies. One just may need to ride a horse and buggy from the airport since the roads will soon be impassable.
