What happened to Oregon 6 to the coast?

I'm not sure that working on DOT projects is that different from working on Forest Service ones these days. Emergency repairs can be expedited in the same ways, but other repairs often require similar levels of planning and review. Protecting streams from sedimentation and other pollution is just as important whether the road is for public use or logging use.
I think local contractors were very much involved in the cleanup after the Oso landslide. But there are forest roads east of there that were washed out in 2003 and 6 and still haven't been fixed.
