No specific reason for needing a Motor carrier road, but I know if the semi's are driving it, my motorhome will not be in danger of hairpin turns, really bad roads, elevations, and trees growing out scrapping my motorhome or low bridges.
A 2 lane road is hard to turn a 38 foot motor home around on.
Thanks for everyones input.

Semi trucks drive on the Million Dollar Hwy 550 north of Durango. Many RVers will not drive it. (We have multiple times) It has extremely high elevations and hairpin turns. So does I-70 west of Denver. I guess my point is not to rely solely on those kinds of publications. Check out other ways of judging roads like the state sites or Google Earth. You've done good by also checking this forum. :) Have a great trip!!
