Fushimi Lake, Obatanga, Rene Brunelle, Greenwater, and Ivanhoe Lake were among our favourite destinations. Fisrt Ontario Parks cut back their operating dates a few years ago, then this year they closed them completely along with five other parks, effectively shutting us out of those parks.
I have not been in Samuel de Champlain for several years and it was only for a couple of nights in the Fall but from what I remember it was an OK park. Just make sure you have most of what you need as it is a little distant from a store with basic items.
