Yeah, thought I'd dropped enough clues. Colorado it is. Pikes Peak it is not. Gravel not paved road to top of Pikes. This is the highest PAVED road in N America.

The structure is a burned out restaurant, I believe. The mountain goat? Well he is king of the castle up there & chief tour guide.
