@garyhaupt Today I wish I'd be in Seattle ;) We live in Israel. I have only driven in snow twice before in my life and both times were in the US (we've traveled extensively in the lower 48). Both times were with a minivan, not an RV. We plan on flying into Seattle, and renting an RV there.
@joe b. we've spent a couple of summers in the Rockies, including Glacier NP. We've seen a total of over 50 bears during our travels, and looks like we're ready for more ;) We never got to see them catching salmon though, so that should be interesting.
I think, but I'm not sure, that icy roads would be more of a problem than snow on the road? Do we need chains or anything like that for the RV? It would be a rental, so we can't change tires or anything like that.
