Roads are rarely icy, unless a freezing rain storm hits which we had one year near Fort Nelson.
The Alaska Highway is usually bare in winter, the road crews do such a great job.
When we drove a Class C to Yukon in December (twice), only had all season tires on. We didn't have any problems.
