I agree with Jebby14 that it has nothing to do with being cheap. I very rarely park at Walmart (3 times in 3 years), but I bought a fully self-contained self-sufficient rig so I only need services once a week or so and can camp where ever I choose. For me, going to a commercial campground is usually a waste of money unless they have some killer location.

I have visited that Walmart a few times while staying at Pioneer Village CG, and it was a mess. However, I do use Walmarts for overnighters often.
