My friend told me that CA used to allow overnight roadside parking along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway.
But with the garbage and pee, they don't anymore.
I've read the same for the Alcan, but every gravel lot and pull off I pulled into had plenty of signage, NO OVERNIGHT.
Only in BC did I find overnight allowed at official government rest areas, but those were sparse.
If I arrived after midnight local time, would it still be overnight?
