Wisconsin Dells to Durango, Co

There does not seem to be many C2C resources along the following route. Any suggestions to economize the trip?

Here is the itinerary. The FROG Rally August 3-8, Then to Wisconsin Dells until 8-12, (covered at Christmas Mountain), will spend the night in Sioux Falls, Sd, (no C2@ there), then on to Rapid City be there until 8-21, (Covered with Rushmore Shadows), then head south through Wyoming, will overnight in Rawlins,(nothing there) then on down to Duchesne, Ut (covered at CamperWorld), and leave there 8-25, then on down to Green River, Ut until 8-29. (nothing there) Then on south to Monument Valley, (nothing there), leaving 9-3 headed east via Four Corners to Durango, Co, leaving 9-6 to then just overnights to the house. Will travel Rt 160 to Newton, Ks Then Rt 50 to Emporia, Ks, and I-35 to and through KC to I-70. Will overnight in Montgomery City, Mo and arrive home on 9-11 ....

Don't know about c2c in the Durango area, but one of the best campgrounds down there is Lightner Creek CG. Off the road, scenic location, very quiet. There's also United CG north of town, the train runs through that park, great scenic views when it passes by.
  • Thanks for the link to the train video. We rode it 2 years ago. Awesome ride. The million dollar Highway South to Durango, not as much fun!
  • I must be getting too old. I would like to help you as we rode the train in Durango last year, but I do not know what c2c means nor do I understand your use of the word covered.
