There is a slight grade on I-75 as you cross the KY/TN State line. It's called Jellico Mountain. Not really a mountain, just a long grade. Just pass the 107 exit(Merchant Drive) you come to I-640. If you plan on taking I-40 to the 407 exit to Sevierville, make sure you are in the correct lane. If planning on taking US 441, continue straight ahead on I-275. Then follow directions to 441. This route takes you thru Knoxville.
