Caterpillar cuts down the slide by Washington State Dept of Transportation
WSDOT likes to show its snow clearing work on Flickr. For the deeper avalanche chutes, they use a bulldozer to cut snow down to a depth that the snow blower can handle.
I believe WA20 North Cascades is open, while Chinook Pass, east of Mt Rainier WA410 is still being cleared.
