You can no longer get an on line permit in canada?

There is a report on a facebook page form a Canadian not being about to do it and when they phoned banjercito they were told its only form the US. This has to do with the obtaining the temporary visa stage, not if you have an integrated RV.

Anyone else experiencing this? I was OK last season.

they are getting blocked filling out this part http://www.inm.gob.mx/index.php/page/Pre_Autorizacion/en.html
  • For anyone with ?Win 10 you can still use IE as your Browser, just have to reset.
  • Just as a rule of thumb, from someone who makes their living on eBay, whenever a website gives you grief, or seems to have "ghosts," switch to IE. Most/many programs, all of eBay, are written for IE. It often doesn't matter, but occasionally it does.
  • You must use Internet Explorer In order to connect properly to the Banjercito Web Site ,

You can't get in with other Web Browsers! I have tried and failed several times before remembering this!
  • Could be, but without somebody else in canada actually completing it, it is hard to tell.

The page says it is specifically for Americans and Canadians. This electronic pre-authorization is applicable only for American or Canadian nationals and for permanent residents of such countries. I haven't tried it yet this year but I suspect whoever reported this on Facebook is probably entering something wrong to get rejected.

No wonder... on the form the "Intended length of stay" drop down, says "select one". But there's nothing to select and you can't keystroke anything either ... no wonder it doesn't work!

(OK, I have no clue what this subject is really about, but I find on-line forms interesting, as I am web tester and test these things for my company. Sorry, just couldn't resist! Someone needs to look at that form! As a Software Tester by profession, I've done my job. I found the "bug", now it's someone else's responsibility what to do with it! I "test" and "report", someone else determines what happens next!

Right above that box is one asking Purpose of Trip to Mexico. Select Business and the Intended Length of Stay defaults to 180 days, select Transit and it defaults to 30 days, select Tourism and it gives you the choice of Up to 7 or Up to 180 days.
So you test these things for your company as a professional Software Tester??? :h
  • Interesting, You appear to be correct. I am goign to have my Mexican boss contact them and see what is going on. We encourage our caravan participants to get permits on line as it speeds border up, so I would like to see it resolved before the season starts and I imagine most here would as well..
