Yukon, NWT, Sept bugs and fires ?
What is one likely to encounter in the way of bugs and wildfires in the Yukon and Northwest Territories in Sept? Specifically, along the Dempster Highway.

- Hopefully by September the major road damage will be repaired as I read on CBC North yesterday that the Dempster Highway is closed just north of Eagle Plains as floodwaters made the roadway impassible.

First frost has usually done the bugs in.
Forest fire season is usually over.
I highly recommend sunglasses though, as the sun shining off the brilliant fall colours can be blinding!
