Zacatecas Options

We stayed here about 6 years ago when it was called Hotel Del Bosque. Good washrooms but electricity was sketchy ay best. You can't beat the location!!

This is the parking spot for Hotel Baruk Teleferico which is in town.



Looking up at the entrance. I backed down into the spot. This is a good spot for smaller rvs and travel trailers. There are now two Class Bs from Europe parked with us.



Private bathrooms with shower, sink, outlets. Lots of hot water.



For a boondocker very pricey at 350 a night but it was very convenient for the festival.

Arrived to Zacatecas and to the Hotel Baruk in town. Great view of the city, electric only but we are parked next to rooms. Very quiet. Not an easy spot to back into only because it is all down hill. Great to have trailer brakes.

Happy here and looking forward to the festival which starts on Saturday. More than 50 countries are represented.

Only downside was the trip through the city of Aguascalientes. The "trafico pesado" route is in really sh@#$% condition. Not in any hurry, we took our time. Beautiful scenery via Dolores Hidalgo, San Felipe, Ojuelas and into Zacatecas. Glad we didn't take the 57 to SLP and over.

Thanks to everyone for their input. Great city but no real rv parks to speak of and I doubt we could find a decent boondocking spot although it is on my list of things to do this weekend.

We have a tour guide who lives in Zacetecas, we have asked him to keep his eye open for potential dry camping spots. I don't trust the baruk to stay open

Yes, the Morelos Pemex is CLOSED as an RV park and is being used as a truck transfer center behind the gate. We were allowed to park alongside the big rigs and use the rest room, but it was busy, busy. This was in November/December 2015.

The park is Ok, but as I said, just hope there is no event at the hotel, the management considers the rv park low priority. It also noisy, air brakes on one side, trains on the other, but its the only option right now. The good thing is its easily accesible. Park on the lower half of it, its easier to level. I had them fix most of the electrical last year before I bought a caravan in.

Our choices are limited but it's only for a couple of days for the festival.
