Zacateces to Guadalajara .

We are at the Hacienda Spa Hotel for a couple of nights. The Pemex RV at the junction has closed out and the parking lot is full of trucks so not a very nice place to stay overnight.
Now my question is should we take the free road to Guad on way to Villa Corona or take the cuota via Aquacalientes? I have never taken the libre but it looks like it takes you into a better area of GDL to get to Villa Corona?
Thanks in advance for advice

  • Deal with the bank at the home end. I had a similar issue a few years back & they took care of it. Good reason to try to use HSBC or Scotia when possible.
  • Thanks I think I will take 54. No Tequila we entered Mex at Eagles Pass and it was great except for a Banco problem in Monclova. went to Bank of NS and Banamex with no service available. then Banca Afirmes and it looked ok took my PIN and my request for 5000 pesos, then a long wait for transaction being conducted then a message we are sorry cannot complete. I take my card. AND then when I get here I check my bank online and there is a withdrawle of $402 from Banca Afirmes in Monclova. So tomorrow it is to the bank here with all the transaction numbers to see if I can recover the money.
Is there anything I can do with my bank?
We are really lucky because I had about 6000 pesos left from last yr and was able to use my credit card at the Pemex. No trafico problems at Monclova but now bank problem so maybe Church and Church were right
  • Lew if you are in Zacatecas does that mean you took the new Mazatlan-Durango cuota?
  • We generally take 54. Yes some slow, technical driving just N of Guad in the ?Barancas? Mts, but no issues.
