They have these amazing things called cell phones. With one, you can actually contact the park personnel and ask them the rate before you arrive. Failing that, you can inquire as to the rate at the reservation desk before agreeing to rent a site. Should it exceed your expectations, you are within your rights to go elsewhere. If you feel burned, you need to realize you lit the match and supplied all the fuel.
