- rk911Exploreri don't understand all the anti-KOA rhetoric. you don't want to patronize KOA then don't. move on.
- monkey44Nomad IIKOA rural seem much better and less cost then close in city. Otherwise, we skip KOA due to fees and attitude.

You didn't check the price before you checked in. How does that equate to being "burned"?
Show us how to do that at while driving?
When I pull in off the road I don't expect to be blind sided with exorbitant prices. - Tom_BarbExplorer

That's the price for a 1 night stay at the KOA in Leavenworth Wa.
To be fair, from their web site they have sites for $106/nt including taxes and sites for $93/nt including taxes and you apparently chose the higher priced site. And much lower priced sites for sites that will not fit your 40'+ MH.
And I assume you knew the price before you agreed to take that site. If you took it without knowing the price, then shame on you.
And now you complain to us because you did that. :S
Just to be fare, If you don't believe 96 bucks won't blow a hole in a $100 you should try it.
And No, we didn't see the price until the card was run. Plus after a 650 mile day we didn't argue.
And you Make too many assumptions and you forget Wa has sales tax on services like this. - doxiemom11Explorer IIThey will never see us! Never stay at KOA's.
- fj12ryderExplorer IIIJeeze, whine, whine, whine. I don't like it, and it's overpriced, and I don't like it, and I camp on the cheap, and I don't like it. Whatever happened to "You do what you like, and I'll do what I like"?
Now it's all "My way is better than your way, and it doesn't cost as much, and I like it better". - westernrvparkowExplorer

You could have stayed here for only $38 a night. It's only 15 miles down the road and they will let you wash your RV.
You should camp there, it is right between the RR Double tracks, and the freeway (truck route)
We selected the KOA because it is all brand new, we didn't get the most expensive site, We did not see the prices until the card was run.
I posted this thread only to let you folks know, So if you high rollers like those prices, you'll know where to go.
Me ? never again. Once burned once learned. - Tom_BarbExplorer

x2. Or just avoid WA.
X3 just like CA and most of the left coast. KOA is primarily for people with kids and you pay them to entertain your kids. KOA is over priced for a place to park when my kids are all adults. - westernrvparkowExplorer

For an additional $205.00 plus tax you can stay at the Super 8 in West Yellowstone. That's the price you pay if you want to stay "somewhere" rather than "most places". Leavenworth Washington is another place that qualifies as "somewhere".
Super 8 is 60 a night, double occupancy (most places) and they provide the toilet paper, hot water and clean sheets. You can park your RV in the parking lot and pretend too.
I would never pay 100 bucks for ANY Krudground. Not even 50. That kind of gouging will put a quick end to the RV lifestyle I suspect.
