IMHO you are missing the Best State out there - COLORADO - without Colorado you will miss epic by a mile.
Cool - Beautiful - Vast - Varied - EPIC.

Stayed in Denver, skied at Keystone!
Drove up Pike's Peak!
Garden of the Gods.
LOVED IT!
We'll be hitting the 4 corners monument, so that will be 2 x's in Colorado.
Trust me you did not see Colorado - Skip the 4 corners (it's not even in the right place) and New Mexico and spend a few days in the San Juan's - Kid's will love it you will Love it - 4X4 Trails - cool Crisp nights - wild beautiful Places and Spaces - This is Colorado - Look over Stan's photo's of the San Juan's - IMHO no place like it in all the US - If you are looking for Epic - the San Juan's will make your trip EPIC.
Seriously - Skip 4 corners - Monument Valley - YES - Canyon de Chelly - YES - 4 corners - NO - thumbs Down - by the time you get to this part of the trip you will be fried, get into the Cool Mountains and Have Some Fun.
