Yes, Texas has more than one road.
And much more wind. In fact, WIND almost everyday; ergo, no picnic tables, and you'll spend more for tie-downs, windbreakers, and other clothing to make up for the colder temperatures. I remember a day in Harlingen when the wind took me on my bicycle the length of our street(1/10 of a mile) without my pedaling. Of course, it took me quite a while to walk and push my way back to my starting point -- one of the few times I worked up a sweat. We quit the Valley early and made a bee-line for Florida, never to return. You generally get what you pay for.
