I am thinking of heading down from Massachusetts for the August 21st solar eclipse. My son, age 13, is very interested in going to see this. I have seen a few websites with the course of the eclipse...

P.S. I just finalized our camping reservations. We'll be in the Oregon Cascades just south of Mt. Hood. We will see 1 minute, 10 seconds of totality.
If you don't have reservations yet, you better hurry!!!!
And traffic will probably be solid gridlock (hours and hours) in lots of places on Monday morning. You need to be in place by Sunday night at the latest.
The town where I would like to be has 6000 people. They are expecting 25000 more people in town for the eclipse. And they are charging $300 for a three night minimum for dry camping in a farm field.
