I have personally travelled over Black Bear with a stock 2004 Crew Cab Chevrolet pickup. It requires a good driver, and much attention, but it can be done. The truck made it through without a single scratch. There are numerous trails in the area which a stock 4WD vehicle can get through. My best advice would be to not travel alone, make sure your vehicle has proper front & rear tow points, carry a tow strap, and air down your tires.
