A problem I never knew existed.

Golly, we've stayed facing all different directions so I wouldn't worry too much about it. There are those have to ***** about something and they should just stay home and leave the rest of us alone. JMHO

I saw on there that someone had given a RV Park a bad review because they saw a black snake...

They were there in January so imagine they had to deal with the winter winds and possibly ice build up on the door.

And oh boy, he was upset about the gravel sites too.

Guess he was looking for a high price resort park, not the very low price of $14 he paid.

I saw a place rated low based upon the reviewer's ire over the loud birds in the morning. No, really.

The reviews that crack me up are the ones that complain about the weather! Good examples of "the lights are on but nobody's home".

Was it a Chinese RV review? Maybe the Feng shui was all wrong for the location.

Two Points:

1. The person posting the review must have felt that local knowledge of an area where an RV Resort is built will determine which direction the doors should face on the RV's due to normal weather/wind patterns.
For example: One of our RV Pads was changed 180 degrees because the wind would blow so hard the doors on the RVs would fly open and slam against the side of the RV.

2. There are always going to be reviews from folks who can't see past something like a black snake or the doors not facing the right direction. These same people will feel this one issue warrants a bad rating for the park. There will be other reviewers who rate high eventhough in their remarks they indicate many problems with the park. My favorite example is a park where there was raw sewage bubbling up in all of the shower stalls and some of the campsites plus the trash bins were overflowing the four days they were there. The RVer gave the park a 4 out of 5 stars.

I read the reviews and look for parks with lots of good and few bad remarks. I stay away from the parks with lots of bad reviews and only a few good reviews. I definitely ignore the reviews where the reviewers says something like "The park staff were mean to my kids and kept telling them to stop riding their skateboards in the park. We saw the signs saying no skateboard riding but kids will be kids". Or "The security guard kept telling us to be quiet. It was Saturday night and sure the park has a quiet rule at 10PM but it wasn't even midnight on a Saturday night"...

While the grading system is far from perfect, the main purpose of the comments section of RV Park Reviews is to provide useful information. It might be useful to me, for instance, to know if a cell signal is available at a certain campground, though it has nothing to do with the quality of the park, itself. Most of us who use RV Park Reviews are smart enough to infer this.

The owner or mgr should have rsponded that since most dinettes are on the oppisite side they thought they had positioned everything right so you would get the morningbsunnwhile sitting at thebdinette having coffee. And since they were wrong will remodel the whole park for this one guy.
