Adult Campgrounds

why is it, that when someone asks this kind of question, they are always attacked?
the OP said nothing like: "i hate kids and want someplace that bans them".
they simply asked about a campground for 21 and up, yet some members choose to make angry/sarcastic posts in response.

i just don't understand why so many take offence to such a question.:h

I'm more concerned about finding FHU parks than adults only parks. If I owned a park, I wouldn't artificially limit my customers. KOAs usually have a play area for kids as well as a pool. That's where the kids hang out. I'm a single RVer and I seek out KOAs, in part because they do have playgrounds and pools for the kids. I enjoy hearing them laughing and playing - at a distance.

My wife and I are both teachers. She has 6th grade science and I have 6th, 9th & 10th grade English and Math Special Ed. We look for parks that are only for adults to give ourselves a break from the school year. Our grandkids are of course the exception when we have them, but sadly it's only for a week or two each year. We understand the need to be away from them and if many parents would teach their kids to behave properly (manners) perhaps more people wouldn't mind mixed campgrounds.

Couldn't agree more. The snarkiness is unnecessary and unacceptable. If I were a teacher like Mr. Camper, I'd probably want to be away from them too!

It's not always a matter of dislike. Some people are just nervous around kids. Or dogs. Maybe they just lost a young person they were close to. Who knows and it doesn't matter. Just answer the question.

Except for the 55+ category permitted by Federal law, which still does not actually allow total age discrimination (the criterion is 50% or more senior), you will not find many public accommodations discriminating by age (or gender, race, ethnicity).

Clothing optional resorts might be another category where operators might keep out "underage" persons, but that age would not necessarily be 21.

I'm sorry but when one mentions "adults only" it generally denotes a place like nudist/clothing optional place.
