Albuquerque During Balloon Fest

Trying to do the Festival on the cheap by staying far from the launch field or thinking that you can get into a nearby carpark is not going to work. Time, gas & aggravation make staying far from the field a non starter. Businesses will hustle you out of their carparks in no time. Maybe have you towed. The area to see the balloons really is kinda small. The traffic cops are eyerywhere. They have done this many times before & know every angle a schemer might try.

Cheapest, indeed the best way to see the festival, is from the dry camping area. Arrive anytime from Monday onwards & reservations will not be needed.
