Nice thing about staying at the Isleta RV resort and taking the Rail Runner is that the downtown stop is near the bus and public transportation. Also across the street from there is a movie theater, museums are within a short walk, there are some really nice restaurants in the area, Gold Street Caffe is a personal favorite, and Tucano's Brazilian Grill is awesome too. The busses run to the Mall's and up and down Historic Route 66, to Old Town which has museums, nice restaurants and plenty of touristy shopping. If you like fishing they Isleta has fishing lakes that are stocked. The casino has several restaurants from a grill to fancy steak,
If you had a toad, I would suggest the High Desert, nice place, great folks, not expensive.
Have Fun.
