Alderwood RV Resort - Spokane, WA
Recently camped at the Alderwood RV Resort in Mead, WA (north of Spokane). We've camped there several times and always noticed that the paved parking spaces are too narrow for most newer RVs.
We usually park with our door side tires on the concrete strip between the paved space and the patio. Usually, we can open our single slide on the driver's side, but rarely can we extend our awning fully. Although the foliage between sites is nice, it makes it quite difficult to enjoy the site using all on-board amenities.
Hook ups are also difficult to navigate due to the foliage but also the mass spread of river rocks filling the area around the foliage.
We regularly have problems with the "free" wifi. Rarely have we been able to gain access to the Internet.
One item of significant concern is that the office closes at 5:30 pm and there is NO camp host or anyone (at least not advertised) to whom one can contact in the event of an emergency involving the site and its facilities.
I've had some brief conversations with the owner(?)/manager and he seems reluctant to invest in park upgrades. He's never been personable or given me the impression that he's receptive to suggestions.
