Algodonas Mx

Anyone traveled to Mexico near Yuma. Any problems at the border like there is around San Diego . We are going to arrive in Yuma around the middle of Jan and have always enjoyed a day trip to Mexico.
  • Thanks for the info. Can always depend on my fellow travelers. Have a good winter everyone.

I agree. Plenty of hysteria, not much fact.

I don't know if you should be admired for your confidence or not!!!

  • First of all, it isn't a 24 hour crossing. It's commerce as usual with the day workers accounting for most of the back and forth.

Oh Boy! You wouldn't want to get stuck in Algodones for a week or so. That town just isn't equipped to handle several hundred Americans and Canadians overnight.

I'm sure Algodones would run out of Viagra and tequila in about 24 hours. That would be really ugly! Jokes aside went across three times this month for teeth cleaning, glasses, prescription drugs, good food, fresh shrimp from Hector and some trinkets. Lots of Mexican police standing around town checking their smart phones, yucking it up, flirting with the ladies and looking bored. No changes from last several years except the boarder crossing/immigration folks on our side seemed even more surly than last year.
