We stayed there for 4 nights last fall. You can ride your bikes into town from the park and it is a lot easier than trying to park your car or truck. Make sure to visit the old fort on the waterfront - great example of masonry forts built during that period. O'Steen's is a great place to eat and is between the park and town. They are cash only and closed on Sunday and Monday. Outstanding shrimp and scallops! We ate there twice!
It is a nice ride south to Daytona on Highway 1. Lots to see and do in the area.
Have a great trip!
