Thanks to all who have given of thier time to respond and help me get over the concerns. Between posting comments and PM's I am learning a lot. Staring to gell around the idea of 4 to 6 weeks....leave the TT at home and stay in cabins. That will give me the flexibility to move as often as I want without the effort of setting up the TT each time. Just as an aside we are seriously considering moving from the TT to a MH. I am hoping this trip out in winter will help me better decide that.
Once again, thanks to all, you have been very giving of your time and very helpful.
And please anyone else who has thoughts, ideas or suggestions chime in....I need all the advice I can get. So I will be checking in here often.
Not sure what you mean by staying in 'cabins'. The Tucson or Phoenix areas are like your regular cities. There are no 'cabins'. It'll be motels for you. :)
'Cabins' are in the mountains and if you think the lows that have been talked about are low, don't try to go to the higher elevations of Arizona.
Generally speaking when I travel from home to somewhere I will overnight in a KOA. I have found some consistency in the quality and amenities of KOA's - jmo. Most KOA have "cabins" some nicer than others, some take pets some don't. I am very familiar with cabins in the mountains and also the difference in climate during the winter. That's why in summer I stay Sedona and north.
