Any recommendations campgrounds SD???
hello, will be going on vacation in june to Mt Rushmore SD, first time in that area. Any recommendations for a campground in the area to use as a home base for a few days to see the sites in the area?...

Rafter J Bar Ranch is our favorite spot. The base camp sites are too close together for my taste, but they are near the pool. The rest of the place is great. The Mount Rushmore KOA is huge, but crowded. The phrase "cattle pen" comes to mind. I would spend at least a week in the Black Hills if you have the time.
