Any Seasonal campgrounds in Upstate NY??

im new to camping.. purchased first camper last summer... young family with two daughters. of course on a budget..LOL... found out last summer that it got real old and tiring to be a weekend camper and setting up camp on a Friday night and tearing down sunday morning.. that got real tired fast and expensive pulling the camper every weekend.
my wife and I are considering looking into seasonal camping this summer. I think it will be much easier to leave after work Friday night and not have to worry about towing and setting up and then tearing down. im wondering if anyone has experience with seasonal campgrounds in the Adirondacks? I found a couple, one is jellystone park, but at the $3200.00 seasonal price it seems a bit high. I found another one in Loon lake for around $1500.00, but I have never been there nor no if fun for my 7 yo daughter... any suggestions? any other places in Adirondacks that offers seasonal service without breaking the bank? thank you

  • I would also suggest you use rvparkreviews. It is user friendly and you can pinpoint where you might want to stay and then check into those places. Keep in mind that a lot of the parks in the ADKS are DEC parks and they of course are not seasonal. Lake George may be a viable option for you and also the St. Lawrence Seaway area from Pulaski to Ogdensburg.
  • I would not commit to a seasonal site quickly. I suggest you stay at a few a decide among them.

I am in a park nn the thousand islands it is the fourth park I have been in and it is perfect for me
  • I'd suggest browsing to RVParkReviews.com and zooming into the areas of NYS you're interested in. Check the reviews, and when you see a campground that looks interesting, give them a call to check pricing and availability.
