- pawattExplorerWe are in MN now but our Winter park of 424 lots has maybe 75 - 100 residents that stay all or most of the Summer. Activities on a smaller scale continue all Summer. Some residents take 1 - 3 month RV trips.
This is an ownership park and a mix of RV's, park models, mobile homes and houses. - Chuck_thehammerExplorerwife talks to lady she met over the winter near McAllen Texas.. she lives there all year long...
its 100 or so but not real humid... she said its OK.. just stay out of the direct sun... she is 80. - doxiemom11Explorer IIWe spent last winter in Rockport and we are currently in central Illinois. It is so hot and humid here every summer, I can't imagine it to be much worse in the south. It's currently a feels like temp of 117 because of the humidity which is at 96%. Relief is coming in a few days for a day or two. May try staying south just to see.
- Road_PhantomExplorerA friend of ours from Indiana who stays on Padre Island in winter also goes down there for a few weeks in the summer.
- LynnandCarolExplorerWe are in Rockport. It is hot but so is the midwest! Lots of tourist types during the summer but during the week it is nice! looking forward to when school starts back and before the winter texans start trickling in as it is the best!
- TomG2ExplorerI returned after a couple of months in the Midwest. It is hot. It is also an inexpensive, uncrowded, place to live. It is only a few degrees warmer than the Midwest this week and there is still dancing three or four times a week.
