Anyone interested in camping in Indiana today?

If you are, you might want to rethink it! Snowed again over night (Friday night - Saturday morning) and currently have 5 (plus) inches drop over Indianapolis. Not sure how deep it is where I live (near Anderson), but this is what we look like as of a few minutes ago.

For what it's worth, you can still camp at Indiana State Parks, but you won't have water anywhere, there are no entrance fees off season, and the campsite price is greatly reduced with the water for the state park is turned off.

However, I did have a great time this morning with my 730 John Deere mower-tractor with the attached snow blower-thrower attached to the front! And we are still sleeping in the camper tonight, as we do most week-ends, even though it's parked in the drive way! In spite of snow, we're still using the camper as much as possible.

So if you come to Indiana today.... be sure to bring along a snow shovel!

  • Dutchman that looks like work to me! I have some of that type of work to do in the morning and I'm not excited about it.
  • Here ya go FrankShore! You just don't know what kind of fun your missing using one of these.

I WANT ONE!!!!!! GIMME GIMME GIMME!!! :B
  • Dutch, I really do love the Indiana state park system but as I grow grayer I have less tolerance of the cold weather and especially snow. Saturday morning instead of shoveling the 8" of fresh Indiana powder, I hopped on a plane and went back to the condo in Sanibel. Let me know when it melts and I'll come back and we will go camping.:B

    Great pics though!!

Now THAT'S true Yankee ingenuity! :B
