Anyone know Thousand Trails at La Conner or Chehalis, Wa?

We've stayed at La Conner several times and it's one we really like. Just bought a TT membership a couple of months ago and looked forward to going there more often. There are no FHU sites and they have recently shut down their dump station. Rumor has it that their lease (on Indian land) is up for renewal in 12 years and that they have no intention of getting their dump station up and running again. Can anyone confirm if that is true?

The TT CG in Chehalis Wa. (near Seattle) has been closed for a while due to "water issues". Anyone know what the scoop is on this CG?
  • We will use the camp gd rest rooms except at night or emergency. We have large holding tanks plus we take the grey water to the dump just outside each rest room. We can manage for 3 weeks then go to the Mount Vernon TT. Only 12 miles or less, stay over night or head south on I 5 at the rest stops as a lot of them have dumps

We left La Conner CG last Aug and the dump stations were closed at that time.

Chehalis CG as of yesterday was still closed due to "NO WATER" to the Park. I talked to the Manager at the Park and was informed that they were working with the State of Wash to get the water problem taken care of

La Conner is one of our fav Parks. Been going there every summer for the last 34 years as Members of TT. Chehalis is one of least fav parks due to the dust from the roads and hot weather

Have never been to the Chehalis one. I hate dust and doesn't sound like a big loss then. Had a site at La Conner once that was right across the road from the water and was totally wonderful. How does one manage for 3 weeks without a dump station at the CG? I seem to recall that there is one on or near the highway to Anacortes? Maybe they have a honey wagon service?

I have to wonder why TT would not repair or stop operating the dump station. Is it due to cost or maybe environmental reasons? We've never been to a CG without a dump station and to let it go that way for 12 more years seems odd.
