- bennefimExplorerHow is Plum Nelly campground? Website says they have cable, but when I called, they said no. Any over the air tv reception?
- hitchupExplorerWe also went last year. Usually, we get there right when it opens so we can park on the grounds. But last year, we parked up in town and rode the school buses to the fairground because we were meeting some of our children there.
Waiting for the return bus took the longest.
Usually, we find something we can use to decorate the RV. But last year, all I did was buy a new silver band to wear instead of resizing my wedding ring. It wasn't as exciting as previous years, but we definitely got our money's worth. - Mark_and_LindaExplorer

Has anyone attended this festival before? If so, please share review of activities and campgrounds. On our way to Smoky Mountains, but not sure if its worth diverting my route. Thanks in advance.

Dale County huh? Lots of memories there..my deceased wife was from Ozark. - Mark_and_LindaExplorerWe are going, have reservations at Fort Mountain State Park, GA. We have been before, we park in some of the outlying area parking and ride the bus in.
- LadyRVerExplorer IIWe were there last year. Stayed at Plum Nelly's campground. Right across the highway from 2 apple houses. The Halloween display uptown was really nice. The festival was packed, we didn't go to that. The square downtown was nice to walk around, antique stores and such. There were also displays/vendors set up downtown. We rode up to Blue Ridge, GA and Amimacola
Falls (sp?.) Burt's Pumpkin Patch was out on the way to the Falls, but that was so packed, no way would we stop. - magnusfideExplorer IIWent last year. Traffic was backed up 2 miles. All of the apple houses had no parking left. If you want apples, go on a weekday when the parents and kids are back home. Avoid Saturdays and Sundays if you don't want crowds.
