My suggestion is to just go. Everyone has their personal opinions about which location is best, cheapest, friendliest, most active, etc. What one person likes, another person does not. It's like asking which MH you should buy. So just drive down to AZ and find a place that interests you and stay...for a night if you don't like it; longer if you do. I was a snowbird for 8 years before settling down and rarely made reservations. If a CG was full, I drove down the road to find one that wasn't. I see by your travel map that you've been to many states; you'll find AZ is no different than most except it is warmer and drier during the winter. If you find yourself in Yuma, plan on visiting Algadones Mexico for a day. It's safe and cheap (for prescription drugs, eye glasses, dental work, and alcohol) and remember your passport. Whatever and wherever you decide, drive safe and happy travels.
