Just got done with 3 days at Assateague NP, ocean side loop 1. The ponies strolled through camp once on their way to the group campground where I'm sure the kids camping there ignored the do not feed warnings.
It was our first real experience dry camping and the money I spent this spring on new batteries paid off. Ran the genny twice and the 200 watts of solar kept us above 50 percent all day. Thankfully the temps mild enough so we didn't need to run the air. And there was always a nice breeze going.
Could not pull any stations in over the air so we ran our Verizon Wireless data out watching on demand. Verizon cell signal was 2 bars.
Just a tip; if you don't need to run your gen, the no generation loop on the bayside was virtually empty. I saw 2 tents and tear drop trailer, the rest of the sites were vacant.
Off to the KOA on Chincoteague and full hookups.
