I saw you're visiting Chattanooga?
We went there last April and enjoyed ourselves. For history, try out Chickamauga National Military Park and Point Park on Lookout Mountain.
We also really enjoyed the Tennessee aquarium in the city proper. We had kids with us, but I would have liked it without the kids as well.
