Making a quick trip to Bangor for 3 nights. Looking for a quiet campground in the area with E&W and some shade.

- Just outside of Bangor in Hermon is a nice campground with reasonable rates. Pumpkin Patch RV Park. Stayed there about 3 weeks ago and it is very nice with friendly people.

X3- agreed Pumpkin patch looks nice but shade is important to me. It appears it is in an open field with pull through's.
- There is some shaded sites in the back. They are back in sites.
- We have lots of family in Hampden, and stay at Pumpkin Patch a few w/ends every year. As others have said, there are shaded sites available. They accept Passport America except for July/August, so we find it to be both economical and a great value. I/We appreciate the exceptional cleanliness/maintenance of the whole facility. It's also very popular with small caravan groups.
About 25 miles south of Bangor there is another nice CG in Palmyra. They also own the golf course, and offer RV/golf packages Another great value.
