Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown NY

We are planning our travels for this year and want to go there. How much time should we allow to do the HOF justice when we are there?

  • I am a baseball nut, and managed to spend an entire day there, it is fun to walk around the town. It reminds you of Mayfield, the town Beaver from (Leave it to Beaver) lives in. Driving from Herkimer down to Cooperstown looks like it hasn't changed in 150 years or more. Have a Great Trip!

  • As much of a baseball fan as we are DW and I were satisfied after about a half day in the HOF. We spent another hour or two strolling the town.
  • My wife and I enjoyed our visit. We spent a little less than 4 hours touring the Hall of Fame when we were there.
  • If you can, go for July 4th. The fireworks over the lake are nice. If you're a fan plan a day for the Hall. You might also check if there is a game at Doubleday field for you to check out))
  • plan on a day for the town and hall of fame. alot of neat shops to stroll through. you can walk up one side of the street and back down the other. probably only 3 blocks long. very quaint town. check out glimmerglass state park if you have time. 6-7 miles up the back road along the lake. very nice place! we go ice fishing here all the time.
  • MANY years ago (early 80's), we spent the better part of a full day there with 4 kids; and I'm guessing there is more to see now. Camp on!
  • It's a great place for a baseball fan. Time needed depends on how big a fan you are. Even a causual fan can spend a whole day and if you have more time there are lots of baseball oriented shops and eating places. My wife has to drag me away from away when we visit.
