Scary stuff, pretty hard to take evasive action when you are stopped!
Even when driving you can't take evasive action when they cross over the median into on coming.
Sadly that scenario of a vehicle crossing the median into oncoming traffic is not so uncommon. You can drive defensively and safe with the traffic around you but you can't anticipate a car coming across the median.
With my MH towing, I was within feet of a car that careened across a huge wide median on the interstate onto the opposite side. Hit a truck in front of me. 6 people died. Saddest day in my life of RV'ing.
The most scariest part? It should have been me but seconds earlier I had moved over a lane and the truck behind me moved up in my space and was immediately hit by the car. By the grace of God go I.
