HBSP is great especially if no need for full hookups. They have some but are booked way in advance. It is our second most favorite. Close to good food and enough fun things to do. Our first choice is Hunting Island. Less options for food and shopping but great beach. Edisto has two campgrounds one on or near the beach and the other just a little ways away. I have only driven through MBSP but it looks nice.
Personally I would avoid the commercial campgrounds but that's just me.
